Answers Tohow Sweet It Is

return home (30/06/2006) 19.06 hours 35 th stage

thank all those who supported us, thinking, reading and writing, interacting with this blog. It is not 'been easy for us along the way, it can be kept up to date with descriptions of the stages and the inclusion of photos, but we did, maybe delayed if not always in real time. A special thanks to the drafting of local Gazzettino that followed us with that, now that he had become a Sunday gathering to readers, writing the chronicle of our week of walking.

The Way of St. James is there, from 1200 years. He is waiting for you too. Courage in the shoulder and legs!

Brazilian Wax Rochester

: Santirene - SANTIAGO

28/06/2006 - 775Km paths!
It 's done! at 14:10 we arrived in dell'Obradorio square in front of the imposing facade of the Cathedral.
Oriano writes:
does not seem true. I started with a lot of will, but also with many doubts and fears of being unable to get to the bottom and are now at the center of the square dell'Obradorio, and the cathedral is in front of me, with its Baroque facade, its steeples, Its scales seem to cross each other. I realize that it's all true, and that after thirty days, 775 km of road, crossing the Pyrenees, the land of bread and wine of Rioja, the highlands of Burgos and Leon, Galicia and the green Mesetas the hours are right here in front of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. The end (or beginning?) Of my journey.
not going to write another Blog of what I felt and heard today, is my personal page too that I could not knock in any way. Just inside of me I can find words that can describe the multitude of emotions that overwhelm me. It 's the most beautiful page, the one I wanted so much, is the page of my journey.
I still thank all those who have followed this adventure, blog and Gazzettino and who supported us in all these 35 days of walking.
thank in particular:
- Tony's friend with whom I shared every inch of this long march.
- my feet and my legs that brought me up here.
- my shoulders and my back who have supported the weight of the backpack (my home for 35 days).
- my hands and arms with the ticking of the rackets have eased the fatigue in the legs and shoulders.
- my mind that even in hard times has not succumbed to the temptation to drop everything.
- my wife Gianna that he held me and comforted each day (thanks ... Vodafone)
- and finally those who are above us all that protected me and guided to your destination.
I brought with me a thought for all those who have asked me and all people near and dear to me.
Antonio writes
In our arrival at the Roncesvalles and 25.05.2006 'was a dive in the magic' that the place inspires.
Aside from the collegiate environment, austere and imposing, apart from the striking and unusual ceremony of the blessing of the pilgrims, and apart from the tension of the early days for the news' and the excitement of travel and unknowns to be overcome, I can say now that we have come his way and emotion and 'great that this gave us the opportunity to meet many wonderful people .. Of these, however, 'both particularly remember' cause, like a meteor falling to earth, have left traces of their passage in me.
I am referring to the Chilean Gustavo (perhaps already 'mentioned by me or Oriano) Jose'lo and English.
Gustavo, eccentric man, collegiate, and with a distinct way of Latin, but permeated his every gesture of a rich humanity 'offer, as I said, so collegiate.
A smile, a joke, a help to all newcomers, this seemed to be his motto.
for us and our pleasure, until the opening of the hostel, took us on a river for a healthy foot bath and kept us happy until the evening by passing the stanchezzeRicordo however, with sadness but with great affection, Jose ', we just had dinner with him, but quickly told us the story of his life and the profound reasons for his journey.
Party from Rome to receive all the pardons could be granted in order to get pardon as the cure of her daughter suffers from multiple sclerosis. This
and 'without faith and without it, but with the only certainty the final result, how I envy him!
When I asked how he could be helped, said "with a prayer, in Santiago ask me and they'll tell you that I have known and prayed for me," I write now
these thoughts, because in my heart I was hoping to see these people .
Along the way I've known too many still full of humanity 'and would not take offense if you do not quote, but these two hours that I have come to believe even the most' representative of the way, a bit 'the two extremes.
Today I arrived, and still bowling as they say, I realize that the aura and magic 'in me and I feel less and muffled in this general context of what' that surrounds me.
Many pilgrims are part of the way in the last km (seems to me) with a little spirit 'is a weekend without sacrifices, but to walk' with the help of a motorized vehicle, car, camper, bus, taxi, not a life for me pilgrim, did not share emotions and pain in the early stages, have not had time to take off the veneer of superficiality 'and provided that the Company' and requires that at least in my opinion is lost after 10 days of walking experience. Virtually
have not yet looked into and are not ready to hear themselves first and then the other, the rush, the burn stage, the work for them and 'still a legacy of daily life.
On the way there 'who seeks answers to the great themes of life: Who am I? where I come from? 'cause I exist? what I do and what I've done for others? I
by the time I found only confirms to the Free 'welfare that I got from this trip, free sun, nature, landscape, and the smile cordialita'delle the people I met (see photo's smile Michael and Barbara, our angels of the final stage), free life that I have received and which has given me the health to undertake this journey, free support of my family who supported me so that 'I could reach this goal, free the participation of all the friends and free the company and support of my travel companion.

What Are Gay Men Wearing

34 ^ 22 km stage: Ribadiso - St. Irene / Km19

06/27/2006 -20km to Santiago. tomorrow to prove it!
Everything goes well under a bright sun, the forests of eucalyptus. Galicia after several days of leaden sky, the sun gives us. Now we can not wait to get in front of the cathedral of Santiago, all the rest counts for little. The green Galicia with its enchanted forest, the thousand streams and pastures, slipping away, slowly, sottoi our boots. We stopped at St. Irene in a private hostel. It 'pretty soon is just past noon, but we decide to stop here to charge the batteries for the "Ruscha" at the end of tomorrow.

33 th stage: Palas de Rei - Ribadiso - 24 km

26/06/2006
today's stage shows equally busy as a landscape and location. The "horreos" (see photo), the typical silo-like capitals, used for storing corn, now we find them everywhere. The path is constant ups and downs of hills, through woods of oak, alternating with forests of eucalyptus, ruiscelletti of water fords and places to "Elves" are not lacking. Much to my delight, after that day I said to myself this is the right habitat for fungi, there appears to the side of the path a pair of fragrant porcini. The first thought was to make us a pasta in the evening, but the uncertainty about where we stayed, I did tend to leave them on the wall of the entrance to a house found after two kilometers. (.. A bit of "providence" for the locals!)
Ribadiso all'albergue Once in, the kind ospitalera Paula told us that it was already full, the proposed alternative was to sleep on the floor or move to a house private. Chose the second solution, we were taken by car outside route to a farm with 100 head of cattle; the house is pretty new and clean, with 28 € of Bagmati has a bedroom with very large and airy, with views over the surrounding countryside, including dinner and breakfast. In the evening the owner showed us his company, explaining the entire chain of production of milk of his cows: Hear, hear a liter of milk in Spain costs € 0.50 - 0.75, against € 1:10 to 1:30 (people meditate!)
Toni writes:
It works and it is also produced to improve our social status, for career, to feel gratified, to show off their status symbol, no matter how someone might join him. The media, daily, direct our minds towards the redundant messages with more pounding and we do not realize the emptiness of these messages. The absorption, no longer react as the conditioning is complete.
only after at least 10 days of Spartan life, I realized how many things which until yesterday was essential, even today feel the need.
The world of "pilgrim" revolves around its own backpack, and the hostel, no cars, no television, no fancy clothes, no meetings of unnecessary work, no homes full of everything you've ever used and probably never will use. Only the essentials to live as humans and be accepted by others. (Read soap and clothes) and a lot of time to grasp the beautiful world around you: nature and people.
people with whom you can have a relationship not cold and quick, but deep and intense because the availability of time eliminates the tension and brings out the humanity in every one us.
recommend to those who have children to make the experience of the Camino de Santiago: a family if the children are small, if you already older, alone or in company of a few selected friends.
learn what it is really necessary and would know clearly distinguished from the surplus, while enjoying it and this is essential for me in this world where everything seems to be due.
